Before fixing the error with specific solutions, I would recommend you to try these simple tricks; maybe it will work for you.

If these are not fixing the Dev error 6065, follow these solutions.

Solution 1:  First thing first… Scan and Repair the Game Files

If your game files have corrupted, then it’s highly possible that you face several problems, including the Dev Error 6065. In this case, you don’t have to do anything, as the launcher already has a built-in functionality that automatically scans and repairs the game files, if found

Follow these instructions to get away with corrupted files.

  • Launch the Blizzard app.
  • In the app interface, click on the Game’s icon.
  • Once landed on the Game’s page, click Options  Scan and Repair.
  • Now, click on Begin Scan.

Let your Game’s files to be scanned and repaired the corrupted game files (if any)

  • One done with scanning and repairing, re-launch the Game, and check if it’s performing well or not.

Solution 2: Tweaks with the Game’s Folder

Call of Duty keeps saving different game configuration files in both Players and Players 2 folders, and any wrong configurations may cause the error 6065; the best thing is that renaming these two folders could solve the problem.

To recreate the two folders;

  • Exit the Game and clear the Task Manager.
  • Now, open the File Explorer Documents\Call of Duty (your variant of the Game) rename the Players and Players 2 folders.
  • Re-launch the Game and check the status of the error.

If not, then go through this.

  • Now open the Call of Duty documents folder again
  • Copy all of its contents and delete all its contents.
  • Now re-launch the Game again and check the status back.

Solution 3: Disable the all-game Full-Screen Optimizations

Windows 10 features a “Full-screen optimization,” allowing users to optimize the performance and video quality of applications and games; though this full-screen mode is cool but has a history of creating gaming issues, including (maybe) Dev Error 6065.

So, simply disable “Full-screen optimization,” following these simple steps.

  • Exit the Game and clear the task manager.
  • Locate the right pane of the window, click the Game’s icon, and open the drop-down menu.
  • Go to the Options installation folder, find the exe file, and right-click to open the menu; now, select Properties.
  • Navigate to the Compatibility    “Disable Full-Screen Optimizations,” Apply/Ok.
  • Now launch the Game and check the error state.

Solution 4: Play with the Game’s Settings or Graphics Card and its Driver

Is your Call of Duty getting extremely unstable?

You must be playing at the maximum graphics settings of your system, and this can also cause the Dev error 6065.

So, what to do?

It’s simple, turn the Game back to the default settings or apply these settings;

Hold on… what if I am facing the Dev error 6065 on the launch?

Launch the Game in safe mode, which normally when the Game crashes and at the time of re-launching the Game.

So, as the option of the safe mode is prompted, click on yes.

Now, make these changes in-game settings… maybe this will help you get away with the Dev error 6065

  • Resolution (Graphics Tab): 1920 x 1080
  • Render Resolution (Graphics tab): 100
  • Display Mode (Graphics tab): Full screen Borderless

NO CHANGES???

Try tweaking the Graphics Card and its Driver settings, as sometimes, the misconfiguration of the Graphics card and its drivers can also cause many gaming/system issues, including the Dev error 6065.

The tweaks are;

  • Disable Extra (if any )Graphics Card, using administrator access
  • To make the changes happen in real-time, restart the Game.

Tweaking Graphics Drivers means restoring the driver to an earlier version, only if the Dev error 6065 has started after the update of your graphics card driver.

Solution 5: The last resort… Reinstall the Game

If nothing has worked so far, then it is time to give a hard call to your favorite Call of Duty… simply uninstall and reinstall the Game (make sure you have enough size and time to entertain this not-so-pleasant gaming step).

Follow uninstall and reinstall this instruction:

  • Click on the icon for the Call of Duty.
  • Select Options uninstall Game and keep following the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
  • Restart your system and install the Call of Duty.

Bonus solution: Disable G-Sync (only for NVIDIA card users)

The G-Sync feature is what helps the system to eliminate, which can happen when the GPU has thrown so many frames that cannot be handled by your system; though advantageous in nature, the G-Sync also causes many gaming errors, including the Dev error 6065.

If this is the case, disable the G-sync like this;

  • Exit the Game.
  • Open your NVIDIA control panel.
  • In the left window pane, expand the Display option Set up G-Sync.
  • In the right window pane, uncheck the G-Sync.
  • Now, re-launch the Game and check the error status.
